NSF Responsible Conduct of Research Requirement. The National Science Foundation (NSF) now requires that each institution applying for funding from NSF describe in its grant proposal a plan to provide training and oversight in the responsible conduct of research to students and postdoctoral researchers participating in the proposed research project.
